Pawleys Island's Pimento Cheese launched at Ahold USA stores
Pawleys Island Specialty Foods has launched Pimento Cheese - a brand of southern style pimento cheese at Ahold USA - a grocery store operator based out of Carlisle, Pennsylvania and Quincy, Massachusetts.
With the launch, the Pimento Cheese is available at over 750 Ahold USA stores. This takes the total retail reach of the product to 2,200 locations in 22 states in the US. It is also available in Giant Foods, Stop & Shop or Martins Supermarket.
According to the company, Palmetto Cheese has been developed from sharp cheddar cheese, Hellmann's Mayonnaise and a unique production process that maintains the homemade texture.
Pawleys Island Specialty Foods, founded in 2006, produces Palmetto Cheese that is manufactured and packaged at Duke Sandwich Productions located in South Carolina. The brand is sold in three varieties: Original, Jalapeño and Bacon.
